C & D from WalkMontreal are continuing their five-part series on Le Plateau. Part four will take us from Parc La Fontaine, taking in the beauty of this big park, to the nearby streets of Cherrier, Rachel, Mentana, Boyer, Christophe-Colomb, La Roche, Brébeuf, Chambord, and Barrière and then return to Parc La Fontaine.
This walk was done on Saturday July 30, 2022 between 11:30 AM and 2 PM. The walk is not difficult, mostly flat terrain. Below is a map highlighting the directions.
The walk starts here, at the corner of Parc La Fontaine Avenue and Cherrier Street.

Start walking north on Avenue du Parc- La Fontaine.
La Fontaine park is quite big, with beautiful lakes and grounds.
Belvedere Léo-Ayotte is where Roy Street meets La Fontaine Park. A nice little look-out with some contemporary art work.
