This is a micro walk within a bigger neighbourhood.....we targeted Rue Saint Denis between Rachel Street to the north and Sherbrooke Street East to the south, using Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church and Square Saint-Louis as the two focal points and walking up and down surrounding streets
We started this walk right in front of Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church (4237 Henri-Julien Avenue, corner Rachel Street), and headed west on Rachel Street turning south at Avenue de l'Hotel-de-Ville and going as far as Sherbrooke Street East. Turn east to the next block and go north on Avenue Laval, where you will arrive at Square Saint-Louis on the east. Keep walking north back to Rachel Avenue, then walk one block over to Henri-Julien Avenue and walk south to Square Saint-Louis. Walk north on Drolet Street , back to Rachel, and then go to Rue Saint Denis and walk south to Square Saint-Louis. Return on the other side of Saint Denis north to Rachel Street once more. Feel free to walk amongst smaller side streets as well. The walk itself is approximately one hour non-stop, but, if you stop for pictures or make it a leisurely walk, you can enjoy a good 2 hours in this fabulous and colourful area. We did this walk on October 21, 2018 between 8:30am and 10:15am, so these photo's below are from that day.
