Sault-au-Récollet is an old village dating back to the second half of the 18th century and is designated a heritage site by the city of Montréal. There is still evidence of its history, such as The Church of La Visitation-de-la-Bienheureuse-Vierge-Marie, old homes on Gouin Boulevard East, old mill and dike system. It is a very enjoyable historic walk and takes you thru I'le de la Visitation nature park on Rivères des Prairies. Take 2 or 3 hours and stroll around, there is a cafe in the Maison du Meunier if you wish. Visit the park and walk along Gouin.
