Traditionally, this neighbourhood was and still is home to Jewish, Ukrainian, Greek and French families.
The restaurants and cafe's are excellent, as are the famous bagels! One particular lunch counter is Wilensky's Light Lunch which hasn't changed since the 1930's.
Bordered by Hutchison Street on the west, Van Horne Avenue to the north, Saint Denis Street on the east and Mount Royal Avenue on the south.
We started at the corner of Saint-Viateur and Park Avenue, weaved up and down side streets and made our way to Park Avenue. This is not a long walk and the terrain is flat, so weave in and out of side streets and stop in for a lunch somewhere.
